China’s leading online retailer of beauty products has made a deal with the LVMH brand.

Jumei, China’s leading online retailer of beauty products, will begin selling an exclusive set of beauty products from LVMH’s Givenchy. Jumei will begin selling 38 different Jurlique cosmetics products each labeled with anti-counterfeit tracking codes. Dong Liang, brand manager for Givenchy Cosmetics in China, said: “We selected Jumei as our exclusive online partner due to their outstanding sales record, diversified marketing solutions, commitment to fighting counterfeit beauty products and strong brand recognition. We look forward to deepening our relationship with Jumei as we seek out new ways to cooperate.” Jumei is one of the founding members of the Authentic Beauty Product Alliance (ABPA), and also has its own set of internal anti-counterfeit measures. The ABPA has a goal to raise product quality standards for the entire Chinese beauty products industry.
